JEDDAH: Saudi Commission for Tourism and National Heritage (SCTNH) has established a hotline and call center for enquires on tourism, cities, festivals and activities to facilitate visitors and residents the during summer vacation.
Mohammad Abdullah Al-Amri, director general of the SCTNH branch in Makkah Province said the SCTNH established the hotline and call center for visitors and tourists to enquire about activities and events during the summer festival, especially visitors to Jeddah, who can call on the hot line, 19988, for the activities and events of the Jeddah Summer Festival, “Beautiful Jeddah.”
The 24-hour hotline and center will support and assist people who wants to check on different activities going on during the summer in Jeddah. He said Jeddah visitors will enjoy this year’s activities that have been organized in different locations throughout the city for entertainment and enjoyment. More than 2,000 national and international actors, comedians, a children’s theater and sports stars are participating in the Jeddah Summer Festival.
He explained about the 24 hours call center on the launch of the Jeddah Summer Festival on Wednesday.
He said that this year visitors and residents of Jeddah will find new activities, entertainment, games, and contests that will continue for a whole month. “Beautiful Jeddah” will provide a new dimension to tourist activities and tourism.
“This year we want to change the identity of Jeddah with the cooperation of the Jeddah Chamber of Commerce, and want to give visitors to Jeddah a new feeling with a number of activities throughout the month in different places,” said Al-Amri.
This is the first time Al-Jawhra King Abdullah Sports City will be participating in the festival, and will provide a number of sports, games, contests and theater activities to festival goers, providing new forms of entertainment in line with the Kingdom’s 2030 Vision.
King Abdulaziz Airport and malls in Jeddah are also participating in the festival to promote domestic tourism. Even after the end of the festival there will be activities that will continue until the Haj vacation.
“Anyone who needs any type of information, about any activity of the festival or city of the Kingdom can call on this hotline, which is available 24 hours a day, to help visitors and tourists in Jeddah enjoy the festival’s activities that are specially organized for visitors and residents to improve local tourism, and to fulfill the Kingdom’s Vision 2030,” he said.
