DAMMAM: Recruitment offices blamed the Labor and Social Development Ministry for delayed arrival of Bangladeshi domestic workers.
They said that happened because the Musaned website, which used to complete the procedures for hiring domestic workers, had crashed.
Ministry spokesman Khaled Aba Alkhail acknowledged that there are technical problems in Musaned. "The problem arose soon after we received word that there was a stoppage," he said, adding that the ministry is working to solve the problem.
Sources at recruitment offices say the technical failure of the website meant that applications were no longer processed. They also say that this technical problem happens at least once or twice a week, creating a major problem that the ministry has to move fast to solve, by providing a complete technical team that can cope with the pressure on the system.
