RIYADH: A senior adviser at the Investment Support and Promotion Agency of Turkey (ISPAT), the agency that promotes investment and assists Turkish investors, Dr. Mustafa Kokso, confirmed all Turkish cities are currently stable and tourists who arrive in Turkey are given the utmost protection at all times.
He said all visitors and tourists, especially Saudi tourists, are under the care of the government of Turkey, who are keen on defending the stability of the country. Regarding investments, Dr. Kokso said all Saudi investors should check on their investments. “These investments are protected by contract and agreements which are strict and cannot be bypassed or disregarded, and which are backed by the council of ministers, the Turkish presidency, and concerned government agencies.”
“Such investments and funds will be protected as though they are our own,” he said noting that the number of Saudi companies investing in Turkey are more than 700 with total investments surpassing $2 billion.
Turkey offers Saudis six advantages when it comes to investment, including exemption from customs duties, exemption from value-added tax, reduced taxes, support for social security premiums for employers and employees, as well as allocation of land.
