RIYADH: The Saudi Commission for Tourism and National Heritage (SCTNH) further intensified its campaign titled “Saudi Summer” to promote domestic tourism during the ongoing holiday break.
“In its continuous plan to support and promote domestic tourism during this summer break, the SCTNH launched a number of promotional and marketing campaigns armed with a large range of offers from hotels, furnished apartments and tour operators in a concerted effort to further boost tourism in the Kingdom,” said an SCTNH official on Tuesday.
In these campaigns, the commission uses many marketing tools, like the corporate website, the “Live Saudi Arabia” program website, Tourism Contact Center, e-calendar on its own website, its information centers, besides media coverage, he added.
The SCTNH has distributed 15,000 pamphlets on the offers and events of tour operators provided at its branches across the provinces, besides publishing ads for each campaign on Twitter, Facebook, Instagram and YouTube, promoting events and major attractions during the summer break.
Moreover, it is also sending electronic bulletins to the public and 80,000 SMS messages through mobile phones.
The Tourism Contact Center, through its free toll number (19988), has prepared staff for its summer break campaign to provide all the required information, communicating with tourism facilities, companies and centers on their offers to be made available to inquirers, as well as providing information on tourism events, reservations, accommodation prices, restaurants, tourism services and their locations, as well as follow-up complaints submitted to the center during summer period.
The plan of the center also aims to collect summer events and offers in a tourism information directory. The center has a comprehensive database for all tourism services aimed at informing tourists on tourism sites, and highlighting tourism facilities and activities.
