I read with interest the article “Two sovereignty struggles” (Aug. 30) by Goldie Osuri. It is said: Might is right. That is exactly what is happening in India and Israel. We all know that since Israel is the darling of the West that is why it commits all sorts of crimes against the Palestinians and get away with it. On the other hand, India being a huge market and an emerging economic power is protected by the global powers who are more keen on exploiting the huge Indian market.
Kashmiris and Palestinians are facing similar problems. Despite clear UN resolutions on both the issues, the aggressors continue to oppress the poor people in their own lands. — Pervez Hussian, Dammam
