Saudi karate champ picked as ‘most promising’ player

RIYADH: The World Karate Federation has chosen on its official website player Saudi karate champion Tareq Hamidi as the most promising and distinguished player in the world.
Hamedi, a member of the Saudi National Karate Team and Saudi Karate Jubail Club, is also the "World Champion" in fighting contests for the 76-kilogram weight category.
This accomplishment, the first of its kind in Saudi sports history, after the 18-year-old Hamedi’s performance during the Karate Premier League championship in Istanbul, Turkey on Sept. 3, 2016.
In 2015, Hamedi won the gold medal of the World Championship in Indonesia.
