BEIRUT: She’s no feminist. Jordanian actress and producer Saba Mubarak said Arabism is what occupies her mind and is what she is keen to represent in her work, reported Albawaba.

Arabism is the only cause that I believe in while acting, said Mubarak.

Mubarak said she is not interested in the causes of feminism as she does not believe that women are more important than men in the Arab world.

Effort and efficiency are what distinguish one from another, whether men or women, said Mubarak.

“Arabism is my cause, but not in the racist sense,” she said. “I believe in patriotism, affiliation, and the unity of the Arab people through history and struggle against colonialism and foreign occupation,” Mubarak added.

Mubarak started her acting career in the Jordanian TV show “Qamar who Sahar” and has been part of over 40 TV productions, feature films, and numerous theater plays.
