How can Bollywood be spared when disease spreads its wings? Ever since Sonam Kapoor was detected with swine flu, the team shooting ‘Prem Ratan Dhan Payo’ in Rajkot are going the extra mile to play safe.

Going for a check-up at a Rajkot hospital last week, the ‘Khoobsurat’ star was diagnosed with swine flu. However, her publicist insists she is on a recovery mode now. “She’s been shifted to a hospital in Mumbai and she’s showing signs of a speedy recovery. Hopefully she should be back at work soon. We thank all her fans and the industry alike for the love and support they have shown her,” he disclosed. Of course, we pray that she gets well soon!

On the other hand, ‘Ranjhanaa’ lady Swara Bhaskar, who plays Salman’s sister revealed, “Shooting is on in full swing. We rehearse with masks on and only take them off when facing the camera.” ‘Prem Ratan Dhan Payo’ also features Neil Nitin Mukesh, Armaan Kohli and Deepak Dobriyal.

Sooraj Barjatya, Salman Khan and the whole unit are shooting in Gondal Palace, about 40 km away from Rajkot. After Sonam’s alarm, the entire unit has been tested. A source informed, “After Sonam left, the entire unit was tested. We’re waiting for the results and have been told to wear protective masks.”

The report also says that Khan has been taking all possible preventive measures. He is also following the orders of Kumud Kumari, Maharani of Gondal and on her suggestion, the actor is taking some natural medication. The source told a daily, “The royals have a home-made remedy for the virus which involves sniffing a mixture of camphor and cardamom. Ayurvedic drinks and homeopathic pills are being served on the sets.” Sure, the ‘Kick’ star believes in ‘prevention is better than cure’!

As per the grapevine, Salman Khan features in a double role. In ‘PRDP’ he plays the part of a prince for one, and the other character is that of a common man. According to Mumbai Mirror, in one of his roles Salman will essay a king with a heart of gold and will be called Ratan and his identical twin is Prem, a common man. Sonam Kapoor, who will be seen as Salman’s love interest, will play a princess in the movie.

Remember these two were seen together in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s ‘Saawariya’ (where the actor played a cameo). But hold on — does Salman go ‘blush-blush’ when he has to romance Sonam? As film critic Rajeev Masand noted, Salman reportedly told Sonam, that it is hard for him to act like he is head-over-heels in love with her, as she reminds him of her father — Anil Kapoor!

However, the ‘Massakali’ girl has no problems in doing lovey-dovey scenes as he is so good-looking! Well, well!

Another big attraction for Sonam ‘fashionista’ Kapoor is that she will don vintage jewelry from her mom’s collection in the film.”When I was going through the ‘look’ test, I thought my mom’s collection would just be perfect. My mom has loads of pearls and vintage jewelry in her collection, which I feel is apt for the look,” Sonam said excitedly.

The film-set has for sure, become a happy hunting ground for Sonam! She always wanted to work with ‘Chulbul Pandey’ in a film. And, gossip mongers insist that Anil Kapoor worked behind the scenes to grab the role for Sonam — in Sooraj’s next. How did this ‘cool’ dad react? He rubbished it, immediately.
