MUMBAI: The answer to the much awaited question, “which film has the taken the box office lead between ‘Bajirao Mastani’ and ‘Dilwale’?” is here.

If box office collections of three days — Friday, Saturday and Sunday — are anything to go by, Dilwale has emerged the winner, inching toward Rs. 100 crore.

’Bajirao Mastani’, featuring Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone, minted Rs.46.77 crore in India in three days.

’Dilwale’, Rohit Shetty’s romantic action-comedy, has collected Rs.121 crore in its opening weekend worldwide. It’s India business stands at Rs.65.09 crore, and it made $8.5 million (approximately Rs.56 crore) from the overseas market. Both the films released on Friday.

Trade Analyst Taran Adarsh tweeted about the figures from the first two days: #BajiraoMastani biz witnessed SUPERB growth on Sat, gaining a STRONG foothold at plexes. Fri 12.80 cr, Sat 15.52 cr. Total: 28.32 cr.

He added: #Dilwale Sat biz remains the same as Fri. However, biz should get a BIG BOOST on Sun. Fri 21 cr, Sat 20.09 cr. Total: 41.09 cr. India biz.
