KODAIKANAL, TAMIL NADU: There’s a special reason why Shekhar Kapur agreed to face the arc lights for 2013 film “Vishwaroopam” as well as for its sequel. He says it’s because the movie gives him the rare chance to work with Kamal Haasan.

“It’s the only way I can get to work with the incredible Kamal Haasan,” Kapur, who essays the role of Col. Jaganaathan in the movie, posted on his Twitter page on Wednesday.

He is in the picturesque hills of Kodaikanal to shoot for “Vishwaroopam 2.”

“Sunset at Kodaikanal. Incredible India. While on shoot for ‘Vishwaroopam 2’,” he posted as a caption to the image on Twitter.

“Vishwaroopam 2,” a Tamil-Hindi bilingual spy-thriller, is written and directed by Haasan, who reprises his role of Major Wisam Ahmad Kashmiri.

The film will release early next year. Early this month, actor-director Haasan revealed that only a small scene is left to be filmed and rest of the project has been wrapped up with post-production work going on in full swing. He hopes that this time nothing controversial happens regarding the film like its predecessor, “Vishwaroopam.”
