Oman Air recently concluded a training program at its headquarters in Muscat, which aims to help young, qualified Omani students from different private and government universities and colleges to achieve their full potential.
The program was conducted as part of the national carrier of Oman’s initiative to provide trainees with the skills they need to apply for and succeed in jobs within their chosen fields, such as human resources, flight operations, airport services, corporate communication and media among many others.
It has also contributed to Oman Air’s active support for the government of Oman’s policy of Omanization.
Wayne Pearce, CEO, Oman Air, said: “Oman Air is pleased to lend its support to the youth of Oman and to guide them through our training program.”
The CEO added: “Human resources are the best natural resource available in any country and Oman has a very high percentage of graduates from our outstanding colleges and universities. By engaging these people through our training programs, Oman Air is strengthening the efforts of the government to impart the required knowledge in their pursuit for a suitable job.”
Pearce said: “As we continue our expansion, Oman Air has ambitious plans to recruit more Omani citizens and we are proud that Omanis currently hold a number of very senior positions within the company’s various divisions and departments.”
The training program was facilitated by the twice-award-winning Oman Air Training Center and each candidate was given hands-on training within one of a wide range of the airline’s areas of operation. The training program helped in building the participants’ skills and educating them about the various opportunities available within the organization.
