Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah has become so accustomed to years of glorification and praise, he can’t imagine anyone telling him he is wrong and that he should be condemned for his militia killing thousands of Syrians. The Arab media has been singing his praises and justifying his mistakes and sins, with no one daring to criticize him.
So it is not strange for him to be angry at millions of Arabs for pointing out his organization's crimes and questioning his intentions.
His troops have killed many Syrians, occupied their villages and displaced thousands. In our view, he is not a Shiite but a radical like Osama Bin Laden and Al-Zawahiri. Hezbollah is exactly like Al-Qaeda, Alnasrah Front and other terrorist organizations.
The Arabs whom he duped and seduced for 30 years have finally woke up, if a little too late, and discovered that Hezbollah is being used by Iran for its selfish ambitions in the region. Nasrallah believes the Arabs are merely a collection of sheep to be humiliated and killed by him, and does not want them to denounce his crimes in the media!
When Qaddafi uttered his infamous words to the Libyan people, he had been in the same situation. He saw his people as minions and sheep, to be suppressed and dismissed. But when he saw the Libyans turn against him, he was astonished, and in panic scorned them and asked: “Who are you?”
Nasrallah also supposes that everyone believes in his sacredness, his religious myths, and so-called heroic acts. True, a great many Shiites in Lebanon and Arabs elsewhere believed in him, but they were unaware that he was an employee of Tehran!
The fact is Nasrallah has led the Arabs and Muslims into sectarian wars. Just like Bin Laden and his fellow Sunni extremists tried and failed to do. Most of the Sunni intellectuals who stand against Hezbollah, are also united against Al-Qaeda, for the same reason.
We know that the majority of Shiites are innocent of the blood of the Sunnis, just as the Alawites are not party to the crimes of Assad’s regime, and the Sunnis are innocent of the crimes committed by Alnasrah Front and their ilk.
However, Hezbollah is not innocent of sectarian crimes and killings because thousands were sent to commit murder and destruction. Nasrallah is using religion and Shiite history to rouse and agitate the sect, and turn them against the Sunnis, just as Al-Qaeda is rousing the Sunnis against the Shiites.
Hezbollah allegedly sent thousands of its militia to protect Shiite religious shrines while denouncing the Sunnis for protecting their children and their wives. But he should talk about today and not about past feuds, especially those that took place 1400 years ago.
