Pervez Baig of GGI smashed a fabulous century and added a record 191 runs for the first wicket while Haroon and Abdul Rafey restricted Pak Makka XI with 5 wickets in the WPCA afternoon hostilities.
Al Hamrani batted first against Dopco Young Stars to put up 145 through Nasir making 61 in 36 balls as 2 wickets each went to Waqas, Saif and Mukhtar for 19, 15 and 20 runs respectively. In reply, Dopco Young Stars were home with 6 balls to spare to reach the winning target of 146 for 7 as Saifullah made 36. Abdulrazzaq took 2-36, Saqib 2-21 and Ali 2-27.
Pak Makkah XI, batting first, was bundled out for mere 100 as Abdul Rafey just ran through the Makkahns batting line up to take 5 wkts for 22 runs as Aleem took 2-17.
Hala Academy Blue chased 104 for 4 in just 57 balls as Amjad and Usman stroked identical 27 to achieve victory. Majid had 2-14.
Jotun Paints opted to bat first against Nestle Milo piled up 168 all out as Sajid top-scored with 38 and Shabbir 24 while Ijaz Butt took 3-45 and Abdullah Zahid 2-33. Nestle Milo was then restricted to 133 for 8 as Ahmed scored 42 and Azfar unbeaten 21 to lose the encounter by 35 runs.
GGI openers Pervez and Haroon hammered the Pak Kashmir bowlers all over the ground to plunder 191 runs for the first wkt as Pervez Baig blasted 102 runs in 52 balls studded with 9 fours and 5 huge sixes and Haroon was unlucky to miss the ton by 5 runs to make 95 in 50 balls with the help of 5 sixes and 9 fours to get to 220 for 4. Sher Badar took 3-32. Pak Kashmir was then bowled out for 163 to lose the encounter by 57 runs as Hanif made 43 and Shabbir 26 as Ali grasped 4 wkts for 28 meanwhile Zahid 2-31 and Ashfaq 2-36.
Al Rayyan chose to use the track first against Elaf Advance came up with 165 all out as Abdulqayyum singlehandedly stroked 62 in 34 balls with 7 fours and 4 sixes as Abdul Wahid made 23 whereas Usman, Hamza and Ziad had 2 wkts each for 25, 26 and 15 runs.
Elaf Advance despite losing wkts at regular intervals were home with 2 balls to spare and a wkt in hand to make 169 for 9 as Majid and Usman scored identical 36. Skipper Afzal had 3-23 and all rounder Abdulqayyum 2-20.
Desert Lions against Marine Services put up 154 for 6 through Mushtaq making 52 and Waseem 30.
Naseer took 2-22. Marine Services in response could get to 150 for 6 to lose by a slender margin of 4 runs as Yaseen scored 43 and Aqeel 23 while Khalid took 3-25.
Masco, batting first, crumbled for meager 99 with 4 run outs as skipper Junaid made 36. Shahbaz took 2-10 and Ramzan Gulu had 2-3. Contraco was home in just 48 balls to get to 100 for no loss as Shahbaz plundered unbeaten 55 and Khurram unbeaten 34.
