PISJ-ES students paid tribute to the valiant soldiers of Pakistan, who had fearlessly sacrificed their lives on Sept. 6, for their homeland and also celebrated the Saudi National Day.
The program commenced with the recitation of the Holy Qu’ran by Mohammed Haroon followed by national anthems of Pakistan and Saudi Arabia.
Principal and Sen. Sehar Kamran spoke about the importance of these two significant days.
“This is the day to pay tribute and respect to the martyrs who have sacrificed their lives for the defense of our beloved country, those martyrs who had faced unfriendly conditions, central and external threats to ensure peaceful secure Pakistan,” Kamran said. She also stressed that students should remember that they can only attain success when they learn to respect their country and the motives of Quaid-e-Azam.
The program proceeded with more speeches highlighting the significance of Pakistan Defense day including a speech by Hafsa Khan about the brave encounters of Pakistan Army.
M. Awais Zaheer also noted the significance of Saudi National Day. He said that Saudi Arabia has always stood with its Muslim brethren. There has always been a massive level of mutual respect between Saudi Arabia and Pakistan.
The program also included a presentation based on the developments in Saudi Arabia, followed by performance of students on Saudi songs and live performance of Wania Jibran of “Meray Sijeelay Jawanon and Aye Watan Pak Watan.”
