Prince Mohamed Al Saud achieved another bowling milestone which most bowlers can only dream of. In week 17 of the Unified Filipino Tenpin Bowlers of Riyadh (UFTBR)-Etihad Airways Tuesday Bowling League at the Universal Bowling Center (UBC), Prince Mohamed, popularly known as M.S. to the bowling community, rolled a perfect 300 in his second game.
What started as a normal night became memorable and eventful for the league as it witnessed its second player to roll a perfect game .
After the prince delivered his 11th strike, all bowlers stopped their games and watched in suspense as Prince Mohamed prepared for his 12th and final roll.
The bowling center then erupted in total pandemonium as the ball rolled and revved into the pocket line for another flawless strike.
It was an amazing display of bowling skills by the prince who completed a 4-game series of 972 for an average of 243 and bagged the Bowler of the Week honors.
Bella Sabico of SACO Bolts grabbed the Bowler of the Week award in Group 2 with a series of 766.
In the team competition NBA sustained its league dominance and again took the Team of the Week award with a 22-7 win over Pin Pals. Fernie Ballano led NBA’s balanced lane attack with a series of 888, with contributions from Joe Garrido (885), Joel Batolina (847), Mike Ecalnir (822), Earl De Vera (450) and Nelson De Vera (410).
In other matches, Team Kamahalan powered by Prince Mohamed’s high scoring night buried Habagat 20-5, Unica defeated Mandirigma 17-15 , Vinnell Arabia salvaged a 12-12 draw against Pin Hitters, SACO won over Dabarkads 15-14, Lane Cruiser upset Ayaw Na 19-9 and SABB Advance downed Thrill Seekers 15 -12.
Ronald Bautista still leads the MVP race in Group 1 with an average of 219.36 followed by Arnold Jesena(217.0) and Mike Miranda (213.17). In the Group 2 MVP race, Fathi Abdulaziz (188.68) regained the top spot followed by Johnny Penecilla (185.75) and Ryan Iñigo (184.57).
