SABIC careers beckon new graduates

The Saudi Basic Industries Corporation (SABIC) is taking part in a Career Fair in Washington as its gold sponsor.
The event coincides with the graduation ceremony of Saudi students under the Kingdom’s Foreign Scholarship Program, to be organized by the Saudi Cultural Mission in Washington.
It is being held with the support of Khalid Al-Angari, Minister of Higher Education, and Adel Al-Jubeir, Saudi Ambassador to the US.
The scholarship program supports Saudi graduates from secondary schools and universities to study abroad in a variety of specializations.
SABIC is highlighting a range of professional and technical positions available within the company for Saudi nationals graduating from American universities.
SABIC was also a sponsor of the Career Fair in 2011, which was the first of its kind in the US.
The company’s participation in the fair complements its own annual scholarship program, which also aims to attract outstanding students who wish to specialize in certain fields of study specified by the company.
Mohamed Al-Mady, SABIC’s vice chairman and CEO, said the company is fully supportive of the Kingdom’s job nationalization program.
“Our objective is to offer rewarding jobs and careers to the right candidates, as part of our commitment to partner with the Kingdom’s multilateral efforts to nationalize employment,” he said.
Ever since its inception SABIC’s human resources strategy and corporate social responsibility programs have been in line with the Kingdom’s development plans.
“Our corporate social responsibility programs have always been directed at ensuring that our business benefits society. Nationalization of jobs in Saudi Arabia is in harmony with good business, as we see it, and we are determined to fulfil our responsibility of strengthening our partnership with the Kingdom,” Al-Mady said.
