RIYADH: The Saudi Arabian Red Crescent Society has received 213 search requests for missing Saudis over the course of 11 years, which comes to an average of 19 per year. The families have reported their children missing in foreign countries, currently undergoing armed conflicts and civil wars, local media reported on Monday.

Prince Bandar bin Faisal, deputy director general of the Department of International Affairs and Relief and General Supervisor of the Restoring Family Links Program, said that the society has recently received three more requests for Saudis declared missing in 2014 and earlier this year.

He said that the current assessment of the program is for future developments to ensure effective and quality service to the families requesting their services. He concluded by reassuring the families of the missing members, stating that their return is the program's main objective.
