Two Indians and a Bangladeshi died of suffocation inside a reservoir in Rafha in the Northern Border Province yesterday.
Dr. Eyad Al-Muaili, director of the Rafha Central Hospital, said the hospital received eight people, who were victims of the accident. Two of the remaining five were admitted to intensive care. The condition of two other victims was stable and the fifth has been released on his own responsibility, he said.
Civil Defense spokesman Lt. Col. Fahd Al-Asmar said the department received a report about people trapped in a reservoir behind a gas station. He said three Civil Defense staff fainted during rescue efforts but recovered later.
