JEDDAH: The creativity and entrepreneurship community program of Umm Al-Qura University brought together 80 creative entrepreneurs to exchange their experiences and knowledge on Monday.

Fawaz Saad, the dean of the institute for innovation and entrepreneurship, said that the main objective of the program was to form a center in the community for innovators and entrepreneurs to transfer knowledge and successful experiences between creators and entrepreneurs.

He said that it’s the objective of the institute to produce good students for the creative and entrepreneurship programs of the university in the future so the business minds and innovators can receive maximum benefits from this in the coming years under the guidance of the dean of the university.

Hassan Batty, the director of the creativity and entrepreneurship community program, said it was an excellent experience to meet such innovators and entrepreneurs, and having good discussions on negative and positive experiences, creative knowledge, obstacles and solutions, the right steps in the success of start-ups, and to discuss local and global markets.

He said that the establishment of such seminars and meetings allows for the extension of personal relationships between businesspersons, and the discussion of the development of commercial markets and economic transformation in Saudi Arabia and abroad; it also contributes to the development of country’s economy.

Batty thanked Bakri bin Matouk, the director of Umm Al-Qura University, for such a gathering and the experience of sharing knowledge for the continued support of the program, activities, seminars and meetings.
