The Shoura Council on Monday agreed to set up a national accreditation body to help crack down on the buying and selling of fake academic qualifications.
“The proposed National Accreditation and Documentation Center, with financial and administrative independence, will be a legal entity directly linked to the minister of higher education,” Assistant Chairman of the Shoura Council Fahad Al-Hamad said.
The project aims to develop a system to accredit all academic qualifications of Saudis and foreigners, said Al-Hamad.
