DAMMAM: The Japan-Saudi Arabia Industrial Cooperation Task Force, a joint project between the Kingdom and Japan, dispatched a delegation of Japanese solution mission for city development this week and had technical workshops with engineers and senior staff from Aramco in Dammam and from MODON and ADA in Riyadh.

The purpose of this delegation was to expand business opportunities with MODON, ADA and Saudi companies by introducing Japanese solution providers’ state-of-the-art technologies and products in the field of energy conservation, water treatment, and waste management.

The delegation experts and professionals from Chiyoda, Hitachi, JFE Engineering, Kawasaki Thermal Engineering, Kobelco Eco-Solutions, Mitsubishi Heavy Industry, Nikken Sekkei and Japanese Business Alliance for the delegation was headed by Nakamura, director of Japan Cooperation Center for the Middle East (JCCME) and Mitsuka, vice secretary-general of TF. They conducted workshops with Saudi experts.

At the workshop with MODON, Saleh Al-Rasheed, director general, welcomed the delegation and showed his appreciation and expectation for future cooperation with the members on the development of MODON’s industrial cities.

In addition, in the workshops with private sectors held in Dammam and Riyadh, the delegation had technical one-on-one meetings with Saudi experts and discussed in detail Japanese experience and world-reputed technologies and opportunities for their future partnership.
