ABHA: Maha Al-Areeni’s success story has captivated all those who know her. She has managed to transform her hobby for preparing natural hair and beauty products into a highly profitable business.

Now, Al-Areeni holds manufacturing rights for 14 products, under the Mahawy label.

She said she used to earn SR3,000 per month working as a teacher in Riyadh when she started creating mixes of natural hair and beauty projects for herself, family, and colleagues at the school.

Al-Areeni remembers when a fellow teacher asked her to make a certain mix. She had no more than SR50 to spend at the time. She used the amount to buy some material, allowing her to earn SR100. With the profit, she went on to purchase additional material, and continued to apply this approach until she was able to create 14 different products.

She thanked Almighty Allah for her success in creating unique products that quickly became successful, locally and internationally.

The trust she developed with her customers has also allowed her to become successful, she said, noting that her profits and reputation have been growing day after day.

Despite hard work and facing numerous challenges at the start, she persevered until she became successful and expanded her products in the local, Gulf, and European markets, she said.

The Abha Shopping Festival also played a great role in promoting her products, especially Festival Director Ibrahim Al-Jarar, who helped facilitate administrative processes related to getting her a place at the festival to display her products.

Al-Areeni expressed gratitude to Asir Gov. Prince Faisal bin Khaled for his support and encouragement.
