JEDDAH: The “Your Eid is our Eid” festival packed with entertainment such as fireworks display, world circus and sports activities at various locations in Jeddah has been drawing large numbers of people.

City Mayor Hani Bin Mohammed Abu Ras said the municipality launched the festival in more than nine districts to celebrate Eid Al-Fitr with gaiety and that it is attracting locals as well as people from other parts of the Kingdom.

The venues for the festival-related activities are Corniche, King Abdulaziz Cultural Center, Abar Al Roghama, North Obhar, Old Airport Al Salam Mall, Hifa Mall, Arab Mall, Prince Sultan Street Park next to Ice Land, Literary Cultural Club Theatre and Arts and Culture Society Theatre.

Besides cultural and traditional activities, there is a theater, Mix Show with (Mix FM), events and exhibitions for people with special needs, comedy theater and sports, folk performances and competitions. A special program is being held for patients at King Fahad Hospital.

The folk performances are being held from 10 p.m. to 1 a.m. at Al Salam Mall, Hifa Mall, Arab Mall; theater and comedy show at Literary Cultural Club, Arts and Culture Society Theatre and King Abdulaziz Cultural Center. Abar Al Roghama is from 9 p.m. till late night.

“Come Come,” a modern play dealing on hooliganism, is being staged by actors Jamil Ali, Mohammed Bakr, Fahd Ghassooli, Adel Saleh, Ahmed Al-Hazmi and Ahmed Baqahomi at the Literary Cultural Club Theatre. The play is directed by Faisal Yamani and entry is free.
