Field inspection teams of the Ministry of Commerce and Industry have arrested a group of foreign workers who were illegally running a fuel depot in a rest house located in one of the new districts in Zulfi Province, Burnews, the online paper reported.

Large quantities of diesel and kerosene were reportedly stored in a number of big tanks with the intent of selling them to some companies and specialized laundries in a manner which would expose the lives of the district dwellers to high risks, the online newspaper said.

An Arab national was found to have owned the illegal depot, which can accommodate 15 fuel transport trucks in addition to three small trucks to transport fuel to companies in the Province. Some forged documents and contracts were also found at the site, according to the paper.

The rest house was closed down and those involved in the case were summoned for further investigation, the paper said.
