India’s Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) declared class 10 examination results yesterday. They indicate that almost all the Indian community schools in the Kingdom have done well.

At the International Indian School-Jeddah (IISJ), 802 students took the examination. Of them, 73 scored a cumulative grade point average of 10 full (CGPA) points.

According to Principal Syed Masood Ahmed, all 802 students opted for the board-based exam. “Our school has set a new record of 747 A1 grades in different subjects,” he said. “Following the introduction of continuous and comprehensive evaluation systems by CBSE, the grade 10 examination has become less stressful,” he said.

At the International Indian School-Dammam (IISD), 945 students took the exams. Of them, 145 students secured A1 grades and 10 grade points in all five subjects, while another 49 students secured 9.8 grade points, 35 students 9.6, 41 students 9.4, 49 students 9.2 and 33 students 9 grade points.

IISD officials said 651 sat the school-based exam while 294 students took the board-based exam.

“It is a matter of pride that the school is maintaining 100 percent results for so many years,” said Principal E.K. Mohammad Shaffe.

Shaffe, along with Chairman K.M. Thiru and members of the managing committee, congratulated the meritorious students and their parents for doing the school proud. They also appreciated the efforts of the teachers and school officials for their contribution to the results.

At the International Indian School in Jubail , 249 candidates, of which 125 boys and 124 girls, took the examination. Of them, 56 students registered an aggregate of 100 percent marks, scoring a 10 cumulative grade point average (CGPA) in all of the five major subjects. Principal Syed Hameed and Chairman Tahir Mohiuddin congratulated the students on their achievement and appreciated the role of teachers in obtaining excellent academic results.

At the International Indian School in Buraidah, Aishwarya Krishnan, Asim Esoof, Nujaba Jabir, Safa Salia Meer, Shifa Mohamed Salamuddin and Sufiyan Habib all scored 10/10 CGPA.

Principal Nasreen Syed and the managing committee expressed happiness at the outstanding performance and attributed it to the hard work of students and the dedication of teachers.
