The Kerala Engineers Forum (KEF) conducted a workshop entitled “Engineering the Future” for the plus 1 and plus 2 students to introduce engineering as a profession to them at the International Indian School in Jeddah.

“The aim is to give our students a guideline for developing skills for engineering and developing their aptitude,” explained Mohammed Shiyas, general secretary. He appreciated the support extended by Abdul Hameed, treasurer, Mohamed Baiju and Abdullah Ruwaise, executive members, in making the event a success.

Shoukath Ali, former President of KEF, who opened the event, emphasized the importance of self-assessment, while Mohamed Iqbal, founder general secretary, provided a brief account of KEF and explained the concept of “Professional Social Responsibility.”

Roshan Mustafa introduced guests to the audience. Abdul Aziz Thankayathil, an IT executive, briefed students and their parents on various engineering institutions in India and the courses they offer. There were presentations on different branches of engineering by Abdul Lathief, Sabir Mohamed, Abdul Aziz and Biju T. Chacko.
