JEDDAH: Information and Culture Minister Adel Al-Toraifi has approved the appointment of Khalid Bo-Ali as editor in chief of the Eastern Province-based Alsharq Arabic newspaper.

He was nominated for the post by the board of directors of the newspaper’s publishers.

Bo-Ali was the acting editor in chief of the newspaper. He is a respectable journalist and has occupied prominent editorial positions in different Saudi publications. The news of his confirmation as editor in chief of Alsharq has gladdened the hearts of many journalists in the Kingdom.
