King Hamad bin Issa Al-Khalifa of Bahrain received yesterday a copy of an illustrated documentary book on the late Prince Issa Al-Khalifa. The publishers, the Saudi-based Al-Turath Foundation, handed in the book to the king.
Among members who were given audience were Sheikh Abdul Aziz Kanoo, Azzam Al Dakhil, managing director and member of the board of the Saudi Research and Marketing Group (SRMG), as representatives of the foundation sponsoring the book, and Usama Al Jawhari, secretary-general of the Al-Turath Foundation.
Dakhil said that SRMG is proud to have financed the publication of the documentary book, which describes the career and achievements of one of the major leaders in the area.
King Hamad wrote an introduction to the book, in which he thanked the Al-Turath Foundation for the publication.
The book is part of a series about kings published by the foundation, which describes the career and historic achievements of the leaders in the area. Previous volumes in the series included books about King Abdul Aziz, the founder of Saudi Arabia, King Saud, King Faisal and King Khalid.
Present during the audience were Prince Sultan bin Salman, founder and chairman of the Al-Turath Foundation, Shaikh Homood bin Abdullah bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Bahrain’s ambassador to Saudi Arabia, and Muhammad Budaywi, the Saudi chargé d’affaires in Bahrain.
