RIYADH: A local company has launched an online car breakdown service for motorists.

The project was launched at the headquarters of the Badir Incubator for Information and Communication Technology by Morni, the company that will operate the services throughout the Kingdom.

“Morni is a smart solution to provide customers with convenient transport at a reasonable time and price from the desired location through smartphone applications and location services,” Salman Al-Suhaibaney, chief executive officer of Morni, told Arab News at the launch. He said Badir is the brainchild of King Abdulaziz City for Science and Technology. “We spent over a year shaping Morni’s business model, building its website and developing our mobile application to provide the best services at the lowest price,” he said.

Al-Suhaibaney said motorists must upload the system on their smartphones to get the services, from the website www.morniksa.com. Under the program, Morni offers towing, battery service and replacement, tire change and repair and gas delivery. “We are available 24 hours a day to provide you with the best services possible and working to expand our service network to cover more cities in the Kingdom and the Gulf region,” he said. It is currently available in the capital.

“We choose our service providers carefully to ensure constant high quality services. We are partnering with the nation’s top service companies that have extensive experience in the field with the best customer service ratings,” he said.

Badir was established at the end of 2008 to support and develop information and communication technology. Its scope includes computers and communication devices, infrastructure, software, multimedia and smartphone applications.
