The “Healthy Food Way Restaurant” at Red Sea Mall invited orphans at the Al-Widad Charity Foundation to have a healthy iftar with Mohamad Alawi, CEO of Red Sea Mall and Aswag Co. Also attendees were Mohamad Saadawi, founder of the Aala Mazaji string of websites; Mai Yashar, owner of the Healthy Food Way Restaurant; Olaa Rajab, owner of Al-Bait Al-Hijazi; Siham Abdulqader, interior designer and wedding planner.

Alawi said the aim of organizing the event was to spread joy among orphans and also to encourage the concept of adoption by simply reminding and exposing the community to these neglected members of society.

He said the objective was also to help spread awareness among young children about the importance of healthy diets and healthy lifestyles.

Kids not only enjoyed an iftar together but also participated in photo shoots, entertaining contests, gifts, watching dinosaurs show and amusement park rides.

“We have opened the doors of our mall to everyone. Orphans and children from poorer backgrounds are part of

our society and we must take responsibility for their wellbeing. Today, we spread the message to society to not forget about them, especially in moments of joy,” said Alawi.

Abdulqader said that it was her pleasure to be part of the event and put a smile on their faces.

The children received Eid gifts, with Abdul Rahman, one of the orphans, expressing joy and gratitude.
