Minister of Education Prince Khaled Al-Faisal has sent directives to the departments of education in all regions of the Kingdom for the adoption of the classical Arabic language within the educational system next year.

Sources told Arab News that the decision will be gradually implemented in schools starting from the next academic year 2014-2015, including the adoption of the classical Arabic language in explaining lessons and holding discussions, as well as correspondences and reports submitted to the departments of education.

In addition, the year 2016 will witness the application of the fingerprint system in schools starting with the Ministry of Education and its departments and schools, sources said.
