Ruqi, a nonprofit organization, held a workshop on volunteer work in Alkhobar recently. Ruqi is considered an important social program that can raise the social responsibility of youngsters and encourage them to help society.

The workshop, held at Coral Hotel, was attended by more than 40 volunteers who had worked in the field for years. It focused on the requirements and needs of volunteer work and shed light on its importance.

Dr. Shaher Al-Shaheri, family medical consultant and chairperson of Alrahma medical charitable committee, and medical students from Dammam University participated in the workshop.

Adeeb Al-Zamil, chairperson of Ruqi’s social development committee said: “Our main focus is creating ideas that will help know the needs of youth and discuss the obstacles facing volunteer work.”
