Pelco by Schneider Electric has launched the latest version of its Pelco Mobil video security application that supports Schneider Electric’s range of video monitoring systems (VMS) to provide security personnel, facilities managers and first responders with remote visibility of live video security footage.
Compatible with Apple iOS and Android mobile devices, the application is designed for users of Schneider Electric’s Pelco Digital Sentry VMS, Endura VMS equipped with the SM5200 system manager, and independent Sarix cameras. Using the application, security personnel can access real-time video of people and property they are protecting with their video security installation anytime, anywhere.
From small basic installations to large mission-critical surveillance environments, Pelco Mobile offers several features that allow for optimized remote monitoring. The functionalities include a responsive pan-tilt-zoom control that allows users to focus on particular areas or events requiring immediate attention. Additionally, users can save favorite cameras, camera groups and locations for easy navigation and quick access to areas they regularly monitor.
Tariq Osta, building automation and security marketing manager, Schneider Electric, said: “As the world becomes increasingly mobile and wireless, the need for remote connectivity to business data applications is paramount, and video security is no exception. Our development team is committed to providing users with an experience that takes advantage of the usability of mobile device platforms while delivering functionalities that allow security professionals to better protect their people and property.”
Pelco Mobile is a free application for smart phones or tablets connected to a Digital Sentry VMS, Endura VMS or directly to a Sarix Camera via WiFi, 3G, or 4G. The application is currently available for download from the Apple App Store and Google Play.
