Learning new things and acquiring skills require time, energy and money. If you work fulltime like most of people you must have experienced difficulties when you tried to learn something new like Spanish or graphic design. And while technology is supposed to help, many argue that human interaction is extremely important for learning.
3allimni is a rising Arabic community for knowledge exchange between experienced professionals (teachers) and knowledge seekers (students). 3allimni is taking advantage of technology to make learning an enjoyable practical experience for both teachers and students.
To start using 3allimni, sign in using your work or school account (if you’re a teacher or student), which is a Microsoft account or sign in using Facebook. You will need to fill in more personal details before you start using 3allimni but it will only take a minute.
3allimni’s idea is to host teachers virtually by giving them the space and tools to promote their courses. You don’t have to be a teacher to list yourself as one though. All you have to do is to have an excellent resume to back up your profile and prove your expertise in your field. Once your profile is complete, you can start offering your services to the public.
If you would like to learn something, register as a student then choose the most suitable category from 3allimni’s list: Mathematics, Physics, computer, languages, religion, biology, geology, Chemistry, history, geography, science, social studies, management, accounting, design, sport and finally art. You can also add a new ad requesting a specific course.
3allimni aims to make learning possible and easy anywhere, anytime by allowing you to teach from a distance. It enables teachers to conduct live courses so that they can interact directly with the students or simply by uploading recorded videos and sharing them with the community.
As a student, you are encouraged to leave comments on teachers’ profiles and rate those you have done business with. You can also play educational games on 3allimni’s Website when you’re free.
All in all, 3allimni appears to be an extraordinary project with a lot to offer to both teachers and students in the Arab World but it definitely needs the right marketing push, as its community is still small.
