JEDDAH: Alfa Moe Yasser joined Sky Freight-OSN as the only teams to win at least two awards when it repeated as Team of the Week during the 11th session in the OSN-FTBJ 50th Open Conference bowling tournament at the Bowling City here.

Bucking a late dip in form, Alfa edged ahead of BCT-Lutong Pinoy for honors 41 to 39 points with Habagat 3 points further back on 36.

Sky Freight, the team with the most number of Team of the Week victories thus far at three, pooled 34 points in fourth place to maintain the lead in this Saturday night league event for the fourth week running.

Xtreme-Taurus returned 31 points. Bank AlJazira Fawri and Al Murjana tied on 28 points. Masaken compiled 26 points in eighth place on the night followed by D’ Barkads 15, GBI-TBBGI 13, MC Hammer 13 and Red Dragons 8 points.

Alfa Moe actually enjoyed a Team of the Week and Bowler of the Week double thanks to Danny Bautista who rolled the high series of 743 on lines of 288, 224 and 231 to become the night’s individual awardee.

Alfa Moe was the first game topnotcher and placed third in the next canto only to endure a shaky final game where it could only muster 7 points in sixth place. Thankfully, its top overall output saved Alfa Moe’s earlier gains to come home ahead of the pack.

Complementing Bautista in the Alfa Moe’s five-man team assault were Obie Ycasas 671, Nonie Yap 656 Benjie Cils 556 and Abdul Mugawan 535.

Lutong Pinoy played a six-man rotation led by Mohd. Al Amari who carded 643. Paul Antiporda and Igna Salgado followed Al Amari on 639 and 583. With two games eah were Abdul Aziz Alsani 183-207, Ed Sardiña 194-221 and Nezar Al Hamwe 200-196.

For Habagat Jun de Dios was at the helm of the team on 663 with Richard Antonio on 628, Rommel Cagampang on 577, Edu Toledo 570, Manny Tibay 247-159 and Med Ramos 203.

Sky Freight had three players with numbers in Goying Salazar 643, Pancho Cuevas 634 and Oca Bernabe 605. Ryan Conde added 583 while Bonnie Garcia and Nanding Siasoco shared the remaining three games on 212-233 and 159 respectively.

Reggie Mendoza top-scocred at Taurus on 670. The other leading scorers were Jimmy Urbano 655, Edwin Ronquillo 614 and Ric Nagel 549.
