Bank AlJazira scored a hat trick of Team of the Week victories after another robust performance during the 16th session in the Qatar Airways-AFTBL 48th Open Conference bowling tournament at Jeddah Lanes here.

The Bankers topped off their consistent display by winning the third game and overall output for the session’s top tally of 41 points.

AlJazira’s third team honors, a feat bettered only by the four of Jeddah Lanes and matched by Sky Freight-TFC, enabled the Bankers to improve a notch to sixth place in the team standings.

Emy De Guzman’s Sky Freight was second on 34 points followed by Jeddah Lanes 32 and previous week honoree Idol 31.

Habagat pooled 26 points, while MC Hammer, FTBJ-Jem and Taurus tied on 20 points.

AFM-Moe in a downward spiral after being toppled at No. 1 by Sky Freight could only muster 16 points with Lipton Chai Latte and Jeddah 5K bringing up the rear on 15 and 9 points.

Jowet Carion actually completed an AlJazira double when he claimed the Bowler of the Week plum, shooting the high series of 684 on lines of 159, 204 and 267.

Francis Guron, Randy Mata and Atoi Cruz supported Carion with their contributions of 642, 599 and 588 in that order. Luis Luna nad Mikee Protacio each added two games of 170-187 and 161-170.

The trio of Goying Salazar, Pancho Cuevas and Rene Santiago carried Sky Freight with rounds of 646, 590 and 584 to go with the 574 by Rod Morales, 219-200 by Bonnie Garcia and 177 by Cris Villavelez.

The host team utilized a single set of five players on this night, led by Frank Afurong on 622. Paul Antiporda tallied 614, Rudy Valenzuela had 609, Igna Salgado 578 and Romy Bunagan 564.

Leading the way at Idol was the duo of Jess Pineda 619 and Jimmy Mandingiado 615.

Over at Habagat Richard Antonio drilled the top score of 631 followed by George Mangaliman 583, Med Ramos 557 amd Archie Santos 555.
