Barangay Fame of Gerry Miramonte upset unbeaten Leylati 68-54 in the 2013 Orient Watch-JBL at the Bin Mafouz basketball court on Tahlia Street, Al Andalus District here.

Barangay Fame played their heart out to stay alive as Leylati has a twice to beat edge in the quarterfinals. Gerry Miramonte scored 18 points for Barangay Fame and was adjudged as the Orient Watch best player of the game while Luis led Laylati with 11 points.

Saudi Diyar of Jefrey Esperanza beat Tony’s 53-43. Saudi Diyar attacked Tony’s defense in the final quarter. Tony’s though undermanned played well up to thethird quarter. Gerald Deleon top-scored with 14 points for Saudi Diyar and was adjudged as Giordano best player of the game while Mickey Leyva had 13 points for Tony’s.

Carrefour of Edilym Dalagan defeated Dudut’s Internet Café 74-58 to quality for the semis. Carrefour used its patented running game to wear down Dudut’s in the fourth quarter. Fuertes scored 28 points for Carrefour and was adjudged as the JBL best player of the game while Lico had 20 points for Dudut’s Internet Cafe.

Toyota ALJ of Jhoey Reyes beat Diet Center 93-84. Toyota ALJ applied trapping defense in the final quarter to halt the offense of Diet Center. LLamado top-scored with 28 points for Toyota ALJ and was adjudged as the Saudi Sign best player of the game while Sam chipped in 23 points for Diet Center.

Thursday, Al Naghi of Reggie Santos defeated Jaguar 69-64 in a non-bearing game. Poliquit top-scored with 22 points for Al Naghi and was adjudged as the JBL best player of the game while Hipolito contributed 19 points for Jaguar.

Mini Cooper of Ronald Reyes beat Chilli’s 64-49 to claim the twice to beat advantage in the Inter-Naghi semifinals. Mini Cooper’s inside game in the fourth quarter gave Chilli’s defense a run for their money. Seguis had 20 points for Mini Cooper and was adjudged as the JBL best player of the game while Vinz and Dieparine scored 14 points apiece for Chillis Restaurant.

Hanco Maintenance of Edgar Ainza defeated Nimu 76-57. Hanco Maintenance played running game all night long. Nimu tried hard but they lost r steam in the fourth quarter. Gemeno scored 16 points for Hanco Maintenance and was adjudged as the JBL best player of the game while Olasiman and Manacmol had 13 points apiece for Nimu.
