JEDDAH: BCT-Hokbi Fashion finally ended its chase for a Team of the Week award after coming up with a singularly solid performance during the 17th session in the Sarawat Superstores Thursday Bowling League 13th Season Bowling City in Sultanah Center.

BCT-Hokbi was unfazed after a dip in form that saw it get a measly 4 points in the second game and went on to post the top tally of 30 points, well in front of Habagat which returned 26 points.

The BCT-Hokbi victory was made doubly sweet by no less than the team captain, Yasser Al Hokbi, who rolled the high series of 649 to claim consecutive Bowler of the Week awards.

Sawary Energy finished the session on 25 points followed by league-leading Al Murjana 24, RJ Tumbador 18 and D’ Barkads 16.5.

Carling Sport Wear, Magnolia Ice Cream and AL Striker were the last three finishers on 16, 12.5 and 12 points in that order.

BCT-Hokbi opened its account by coming second to Murjana in the first game only to stumble in the next before picking itself up to finish the session with a fluorish, winning the third game and overall output.

Leading from the front, Hokbi shot scratch games of 210, 182 and 245 with the duo of Nanding Siasoco and Alfa Mugawan backing him up on 595 and 575. Rally Zamora was the other player to string a series on 572, while Rey Beltran added 167-185 and Ding dela Rosa 192.

Habagat whose second-place points of 8 in the second game and overall output helped strengthen its finish on the night got a big lift from Edriss Mangoda.

Mangoda owned the second-best score of 644 to go with the 607 by Jimmy Aragones, 569 by Med Ramos, 175-180 by Rommel Cagampang, 157-191 by Richard Antonio and 149-206 by Geo Mangaliman.

Setting the pace for Sawary was the trio of Alex Flora, Edwin Ronquillo and Tope Sayson who carded 607, 587 and 536 in that order. Paolo Allego contributed 258-199 and Jimy Urbano had 232.

For Tumbador it was Joel Nidoy that stood out on 632 followed by Pancho Cuevas, Tommy Kamal 576 and Dylan Ilagan 515.
