Bowling City collared back-to-back Team of the Week awards after another prodigious performance during the fifth session in the Thursday League 11th Season for Sarawat Superstores Cup at the Bowling City in Sultana Center.

On a night of fluctuating fortunes for its rivals Bowling City held on to notch the top tally of 29 points with D’ Barkads a point adrift on 28.

Habagat which like D’ Barkads has had a chance for honors only to fade in the end returned 24 points.

Sponsor team Sarawat Superstores and Bulacan Knight tied on 20 points, while D’ Engineers tallied 18. Orient Watch, Fineboyz Rhinos and Pindot filled the last three places on 17, 14.5 and 9.5 in that order.

Obie Ycasas of Orient Watch rolled the high series of 630 to become the Bowler of the Week in the five-man team league event where the Sarawat sponsorship is part of the superstore's 34th anniversary celebrations.

Bowling City was on fifth place behind Sarawat, Habagat, D’ Barkads and Orient Watch after the first game but picked up pace to win second game and came third and second in the third game and overall output to realize its second straight team honors.

The quartet of Ruben Grino, Frank Afurong, Archie Santos and Pancho Cuevas shot three-game series of 589, 571, 510 and 508 in a solid scoring for Bowling City. Sharing the remaining three games were Cris Villavelez 186-236 and Patrick Escondo 186.

D’ Barkads, the third game winner, had the duo of Rudy Valenzuela and James Galvan shooting a pair of 600s on 620 and 601 to go with the 534 by Romy Bunagan, 137-176 by Rey Beltan, 191-197 by Ladio Gonzales and 182-170 by Leo Edejer.

Edu Toledo accounted for the top score of 582 at Habagat with Hadi Pacheco and Manny Tibay hitting 562 and 553. With two games each were Ruel Santoc 170-133, Geo Mangaliman 185-180 and Edris Mangoda 159-140.

The rotation at Sarawat saw Igna Salgado on 612, Rolly Vistal on 586, Ed Sardiña on 525, Ed Viray on 514 and Alex Flora on 512.
