Dirab Golf & Country Club and Nofa Golf Resort break new ground when they jointly host a tournament this weekend.

Dubbed CEIEC Nofa-Dirab Golf Championship 2014 the inaugural two-day Stableford format competition has attracted more than 100 players. In addition to trophies there will be vouchers to be given away to the winners.

The first day on Friday will be played at Dirab with 7 a.m. shotgun start.

The players then will have another 18-hole round Saturday at Nofa, a newly opened golf course located in Tibrak 85 kilometers west of Riyadh along the new Makkah highway and which is part of the themed leisure park Nofa Resorts Complex. The Nofa round will tee off at 8 a.m.

The prize distribution ceremony will take place at Nofa Golf Resort.

The tournament sponsors are CEIEC and COCC (Contact Office of Chinese Companies) in Saudi Arabia.

A sleeve of Titleist Pro V1 golf balls courtesy of American Express, golf caps and shirts from CEIEC await participants at the registration booth.

Also, Marriott Riyadh Hotel donated lunch-dinner vouchers and discounted lunch buffet.

All the arrangements for this tournament were finalized during a meeting at Dirab on Wednesday attended by Nofa Golf Resort’s General Manager Eamonn Hanlon and Nishad Mohammed and DGCC Golf Manager Bouchaib El Jadiani.

El Jadiani is the tournament referee in both golf courses.
