The stage is set for the championship round after D’ Cyclone and Mixed Shots completed the five-team stepladder final cast during the week 19 (semifinals) in the OFBC Friday Morning League Season 1 at the Ice Land Bowling Center.

In the knockout game of three handicap series for teams ranked 4 to 10 to determine the two teams to join outright finalists Fed X Ally, D’ Mountaineers and Lance & 3rdy to the final, D’ Cylone and Mixed Shots shot the needed totals of 2,849 pinfalls and 2,840 respectively to make it.

The match 1 of the stepladder Friday pits D’ Cyclone against Mixed Shots with the winner to face Lance in match 2.

The match 2 winner then advances to another knockout against No. 2 D’ Mountaineers for the right to challenge No. 1 Fed X Ally for the championship crown in a two-game series matchup.

Captained by Fatima Jintarat, D’ Cyclone carded team games of 973, 940 and 936 with Jack Jarin at the helm with rounds of 242, 165 and 185.

The Langas also contributed D’ Cyclone cause with Bash, the uncle, hitting 160-147 and his nephews Tom and Thong Mujeed on 161-179 and 155 respectively. Arman Gamboa added 147, 159 and 138.

For Mixed Shots co-captained by Toto Lim and Ka Imo Carredo Toto led by example with 190, 144 and 184 to go with the 163, 186, 153 by Vic Gonzales and 130, 160, 150 by Carms Lim. The other scorers were Von Pesigan 159, 157 and Rudy Valenzuela 140.

Flexibowl fell short by 18 pins at 2,722 followed by D’ Luf’s Strikers 2,708, Nomac 2,661, Jandel’s Pride 2,649 and Pairs & Spares 2,606.
