The stage is set for the stepladder round after D’ Luf’s Strikers and Archie & Company claimed the two spots from the playoff in the OFBC 4 + 1 Friday Afternoon League Season 3 at the Ice Land Bowling Center here.

D’ Luf’s and Archie became the Nos. 4 and 5 teams that will join waiting No. 1 finalist RTJ Transient House, No. 2 Carlos Sports Wear and No. 3 Red Dragon in the championship round.

The first match is between Luf’s and Archie with the winner to face Red Dragon in the next match to determine the opponent of Carlos Sports. The match 3 winner advances to a championship match against RTJ in a two-game series format.

Luf’s topped the playoff with a three-game series with handicap of 2,238. The trio of Randa De Guzman, Carmen Duma and Alexander Duma fired complete scratch games of 123-118-127, 128-127-151 and 127-194-125. Co-captains Danny Atubang and Danny Francisco shared the remaining three games on 149-164 and 177.

Archie advanced with a total of 2,126. Taking charge with three-game series each were the captain himself Archie Alcantara with 163-127-151, Fuly S. Primo 151-143-148 and Hyeth Ann Achai 104-117-124. Lexter Atienza added 140-154 and Puri Parena had 166.

Luf’s and Archie were simply the best on the day with Youngsters too far behind on 2,102 in a tie with The Replacement 2. Pairs & Spares finished last among the five playoff teams on 1,994.
