D’ Luf’s Strikers, TSFJ Pin Crusher and D’ Cyclone 2 qualified for the championship round in the OFBC Friday Morning League Season 2 at the Ice Land Bowling Center here.

They join outright finalists RTJ Transient House and American in the five-team stepladder matches to determine the champion in this five-man league event oganized by Overseas Filipino Bowlers Club.

D’ Luf’s emerged the No. 3 team after the three games with handicap playoff on 2,597 total pinfalls with TFSJ No. 4 on 2,548 and Cyclone No. 5 on 2,465.

The first match of the stepladder will have TSFJ against Cyclone with the winner going up against D’ Luf’s in the second match winner of which gets to face American Garden for the right to challenge RTJ in a two-game series championship match.

Four players at Cyclone went the distance, led by team captain Fatima Jintarat who carded scratch games of 143-139-103. Robert Arman Gamboa had 178-151-153, Bash Langa 141-144-175 and Robert de Guzman 123-167-157. Sharing three games were Usman de Guzman 126-119 and Thong Langa 144.

TFSJ built its total mainly behind the trio of Jayme Lugue 152-120-131, Jhun Ejanda 127-157-150 and Mildred Tolentino 101-96-106. Allan Salamanes added 147-167, Rico Parcon 142-150 and Rudy Ramos 132-155.

Like TSFJ Luf’s enlisted the services of six players to get the jobe done. Putting in three games each were Farida de Guzman 123-123-128, Caloy Nuguit 133-186-150 and Cromwell Marzo 121-160-173.

Missing out places on the next round were Mixed Shots and Pairs & Spares which tallied 2,457 and 2,374 during the playoff.
