Top performers in the recently concluded Unified Filipino Tenpin Bowlers of Riyadh (UFTBR)-Etihad Airways Tuesday Bowling League were feted at a fun-filled and sumptuous dinner-awards night at the Universal Bowling Center (UBC) on Tuesday.
Leading the awardees were team champion NBA and first runner-up and last conference champion Kamahalan.
Individual awardees include: Most Valuable Players Ronald Bautista and Shawn Ricketts, Most Improved Players Ricketts and Rica Ventura, Group 1 Elite Games Winners – Joel Lambo Champion, Joe Garrido 2nd Runner Up and Jess Ambon 3rd Runner Up, Elite Games Group 2 – Rachel Tismo Champion, Nelson De Vera 2nd Runner Up and Nina De Vera 3rd Runner Up and Perfect Game Achievers – Ronald Bautista and Prince Mohammed Al-Saud. Bowlers of the Week awardees and high game achievers were also given recognition and special awards.
The league’s main sponsor is Etihad Airways, the national airlines of UAE and one of the fastest growing airlines in the Middle East which awarded 2 return air tickets in Coral Economy Class (Riyadh-Manila-Riyadh) to the Elite Games champions and another round-trip ticket to any Etihad Airways destination given to UFTBR and to be awarded to a lucky bowler later.
Etihad Airways Marketing Coordinator Fahad Pervez graced the occasion and he delighted the Riyadh bowling community when he said he is looking forward to more joint event endeavors with UFTBR. In his acknowledgement speech. UFTBR Chairman Ernee Noto and League Chairman Cesar De Mesa also thanked all the participants and once again invited them to join in the league’s next conference to roll off very soon.
2013 UFTBR Kalayaan Cup
Meantime, registration for the upcoming 2013 UFTBR Kalayaan Cup to be held June 12, 13 and 14 at UBC has started.
The annual event is organized in celebration of the Philippine Independence Day. This year’s special tournament will be a 4-bowler team competition open to all classes with six events to be contested namely team, doubles, singles, individual all-events, team all-events and Masters.
