As part of its efforts to promote and encourage a healthy lifestyle and strong team culture within its organization, Islamic Corporation for the Development of the Private Sector (ICD) football team participated for the first time in an international corporate cup in Turkey recently.

The Corporate Cup Football in Istanbul is an international annual event where corporate teams participate with a target to qualify for the World Corporate Cup to be held in London this year.

The Jeddah-based ICD team displayed a very strong performance and came first in the group stage to qualify for the semifinals where it lost to IETT (Istanbul Electricity Tramway and Tunnel), which beat TEPE Inaat in the title game.

ICD, however, won the match for third place.

The 8th World Corporate Cup of Soccer set for May 29 to 31 will be played at the Boleyn Ground Uptown Park London, home of the West Ham United Football Club.
