JEDDAH: A fruitful partnership of 155 for the opening stand between Sohail and Rayyan paved the way for International Indian School Jeddah (IISJ) get the better of Pakistan International School Jeddah, Azizia, by 19 runs to top their group and enter the last four of the Red Tag under-16 Inter-School under-16 cricket tournament played at the Western Province Cricket Association Eskan grounds here.

The Pakistani school won the toss and offered put in the Indian school to bat first. The decision backfired as both the openers of IISJ batted magnificently to put on 155 runs opening partnership. Sohail scored 84 runs off 53 balls while Rayyan supported him with 37.

IISJ put on board 174 for 3 in the allotted overs. In reply PISJ were bundled out for 155 runs. Ali scored 39, Waleed 17, Rizwan 21 and Kamran 10. Sohail claimed 3 wickets whereas Zakariya and Faizan had 2 each.

In the semifinals, IISJ will take on Al-Falah International School (DPS) while PISJ (ES), Green will play PISJ, Azizia (Green) in the other semis.
