Jem Strikers got into the groove early and claimed Team of the Week honors during the second session in the Faris Monday Night Bowling League 18th Season at the Jeddah Lanes in Mossadia Plaza here.

Playing solid all night long Jem came up with the top tally of 53.5 points, the highest in the young tournament and only a few points shy of the perfect score of 56.

Blue Diamond was a distant second on 47 followed by new league leader HBMR Nanding 40 and Sarawat Superstore 39. Mottawer Engineering placed fifth on the night with 38.5 points with Boungaville Phil. on 37, Jeddah Lanes 34, Selecta Ice Cream 26 and first week honoree MC Hammer 25.

Taurus RDLR pooled 22.5 points in 10th position, Scorpion Knights had 19, D’ Barkads 16 while Faris Entertainment and Brothers 4ever brought up the rear on 12 and 10.5 points.

Jeff San Pedro led the Jem charge on 671, the second highest of the night in this five-man team league event with a phantom player whose score is based on the highest score per frame, computed manually from score printouts and added when calculating per game results and points earned for the total score.

Paul Allego contributed 657, Efren San Pedro had 597 and Jess Pineda 578 for Jem Strikers.

Blue Diamond got a lift from Bowler of the Week Ahmed Sindi who fired the night’s high series of 678 on games of 235, 248 and 195.

Bandar Dosari supported Sindi with 639 while Mohamme Al Amri had 581 and Majdi Khairat 496.

HBMR’s rise to the top was mainly engineered by the duo of Rene Santiago an Nonie Yap who drilled 651 and 611.

Nanding Siasoco made 548 and Rene Martinez 491.

Sarawat improved a notch to second place in the team standings as it received the highest phantom score of 832 to go with the 622 by Rene Punzalan, 580 by Ding Dela Rosa and 545 by Atoi Cruz.
