Lahore Lions scored a thrilling last over win over KFSH Blues in round 6, Al-Kharj Zone of the FUCHS Cup cricket league organized by the Riyadh Cricket Association here.
KFSH Blues scored 188 for 5 off 20 overs after they made first use of the track. Ayaz (53), Khurram (52), Nasir Abbasi (39) and Usman (25) were the main run getters. Mansoor and Nawaz took 2 wickets each for the bowling side.
Lahore Lions achieved the target off 19.4 overs. Muzaffar top-scored with 66, followed by Mansoor 30 while Nawaz and Salman got 23 runs each. Usman took 2 wickets for Blues. The Lions won by 4 wickets
In the same zone, Shouraim defeated Amir Holidays by 2 wickets. Amir Holidays put up 159 for 6. Kamran Hadi was the top scorer with 64 runs. Irfan (29), Sajid (26) and Sami (25) were the other scorers. Saeed took 3 wickets while Mudassir got 2. Shouraim reached their target off 19.2 overs. Mudassir (45), Zaigham (32), Kashif (29) and Saeed (25) made it possible for the winners. Latafat and Wajid took 2 wickets each.
Pak Shaheen beat Jawar Al Jazirah by 6 wickets. Jawar Al Jazirah scored 197 in their allotted overs. Abdul Wahid took 3 wickets while Ibrar and Salam got 2 each. Pak Shaheen achieved their target off 18.1 overs, thanks to Abdul Wahid’s 65, Ibrar 56 and Waheed 42.
Lahore Badshah got the better of KFSH Blues by 6 wickets. KFSH Blues won the toss and elected to bat. Khurram (45), Ayaz (42) and Qaiser (34) helped the team score 192 for 5. Lahore Badshah achieved their target off 18 overs thanks to Wahab Khan’s brilliant 114. Yassir (26) and Usman (19) supported him. Bilal took 2 wickets.
In the Huraymala Zone, Green Bangla beat Thales by 3 wickets. Thales batted first and made 194 for 6. Fahad was in great touch and top-scored with 93 runs. He was well supported by Imran and Saad who made 27 each. Kakon took 3 wickets. Green Bangla achieved the target off 19.3 overs. Tuhin (40), Kakon (34) and Mithu (27) were the main contributors.
FUCHS got the better of Riyadh Warriors by 4 wickets. Warriors made 206. Abdulaziz (65), Asif (45) and Sameer (27) were among the top scorers. Nazim Ali bowled well and took 4 wickets. FUCHS achieved their target off 18 overs. Nazim Ali (91), Waqar (33), Aziz (29) and Owais (24) were the main contributors. Abdulaziz, Sameer and Taufeeq took 2 wickets each.
Combined XI scored 268 for 2 against AB Contracting. Thanks to a marathon opening partnership of 214 runs between Usman Tariq (104) and Naeem (90). In reply AB Contracting were bundled out for 130. Combined won by 138 runs.
Stallions batted first and were bowled out for 169. Asif (49) and Junaid (34) were the main run getters. Pak Force managed 160 in reply. Amir took 4 wickets while Adnan and Imran got 2 wickets each. Stallions won by 9 runs.
Riyadh Fighters beat RAC by 7 wickets. RAC managed 175 in their allotted overs. Hameed, Taqi and Israr took 2 wickets each. Riyadh Fighters reached their target off 14.4 overs. Imran Butt remained unbeaten on 86 while Hameed made 59.
In the Riyadh Zone, Crescent beat Sulaiman XI by 7 wickets. Sulaiman XI took first strike and put up 195 for 7. Shakeel (53), Adeel (52) and Shoaib (39) were among the runs. Moazim, Ahmed and Mansoor took 2 wickets each for Crescent.
Crescent fought hanr and managed to reach their target in 19.1 overs. Thanks to a scintillating innings from Hamza who remained unbeaten on 100. Mubashir also played well and contributed 47.
