RIYADH: Maestro scored a thrilling six-run win over JMIAA in the second round of the Static Zone Twenty20 cricket tournament organized by the Riyadh Cricket League here. All the other matches tended to be one-sided affairs.

The highlights of the day were the batting performances by Ameer, Faik, Danish, Moin, Ammar, Zahiruddin and Jaber. Mustafa, Shakeel, Faheem and Rasheed impressed with their bowling.

In the other matches, Konkan Green routed Black Caps by six wickets, RP beat Diamond by 13 runs, Shaheen XI ousted Deccan Stars by six wickets and Warriors outclassed Cricketers by 60 runs.

Maestro put up a score of 168 runs from their allotted overs. Uma Bashir (33) and Ashfaque Qureshi (25) were the main run getters. Mustafa impressed with his bowling and took four wickets. In reply, JMIAA fought tooth-and-nail but that was not good enough and they fell short by six runs. Their run chase was led by Jaber (54) and Moin (37). None of the other batsmen were able to face the rival bowling attack as wickets fell at regular intervals. Jamal Khan and Imran Shaikh shared four wickets.
