Finally, Oryx Jets got what it long wanted to have — the lead.

Firing on all cylinders, Oryx Jets won the Team of the Week award and the men’s and ladies Bowler of the Week accolades in a grand slam performance to topple Nasser Al-Hajri at No. 1 in the team standings during the 13th session in the FTBJ-ICBL 31st Conference bowling tournament at Jeddah Lanes here.

To underline its domination of the tournament Oryx was just a point shy of the perfect total at 47, and the team award was its second straight and sixth overall in a streak that began on Week 6 and was only interrupted by Oriano Akiera Sato on the 9th and 11th weeks.

It was Nasser that denied Oryx what could have been the league’s first perfect score of 48 points when it beat the new leader in the third game 12-11 on total pinfalls of 1,051 and 1,006.
